The short answer is ‘No’. The levels of copper in the water are completely safe. Copper toxicity is only an issue if you ingest it in large quantities. It is known that water containing levels over 1.0 mg/L should not be used for drinking. It is highly unlikely that you will drink too much copper infused water. Studies have shown that the copper trace that is found in water after it has been stored in a copper vessel is low and totally safe for consumption. We recommend that 1 litre of copper infused water is drunk a day.
